Open sections are used in a wide variety of metal structures and solutions thanks to their strength and versatility. At Hierros Mora Antón, we offer different types of open sections, such as special open sections, special welded sections, Pegaso sheet metal, angle sections, simple U sections and straps, allowing us to adapt to a wide range of needs in construction and metal manufacturing.
These sections are manufactured from an iron and carbon alloy, to which small amounts of silicon, phosphorus or sulphur are added to improve their mechanical performance. They are produced by hot rolling, which gives them a stable and uniform structure, achieving an approximate yield strength of 250 megapascals, a key characteristic in ensuring their load-bearing capacity and reliability on site.
